In the deep roots of the Italian infrastructure sector, Coding has paved a historic path dating back to 1984. Engaging in a wide spectrum, from road infrastructure to metropolitan stations, Coding has consistently contributed to shaping the face of our country. In this exclusive interview, our interviewer sits down with Luca Nardoni of Coding to discuss the revolutionary transformations taking place in Italian railway stations, with a special emphasis on the crucial role of greenery in modern architecture.
Coding is a company with deep roots operating in the field of large-scale projects since 1984. We have worked on a wide range of projects, from road infrastructure to metropolitan stations, and have always had significant responsibilities, as in the case of Piazza Venezia Station in Rome.
In recent years, a theme of increasing importance has been the transformation of railway stations into architectural gems. RFI has made substantial investments to improve not only the main stations but also smaller ones like Vipiteno and Antrodoco. This has led to a complete overhaul, from seismic safety to cutting-edge architectural design.
Certainly, each station has three distinct areas. First, there is the railway domain, which concerns train accessibility. Then there is the domain of passenger buildings, which includes commercial spaces, co-working areas, nurseries, and more. Finally, there is the domain of urban spaces, where greenery plays a fundamental role in creating pleasant places for passengers.
Greenery is crucial, and RFI has pushed us to incorporate it into our projects. The use of greenery extends not only to outdoor spaces but also to indoor ones. Green walls, for instance, create a relaxing atmosphere and contribute to safety. Studies show that environments with greenery are more valued and less prone to vandalism.
The keyword is "passion." This job requires a deep passion for the transformation of Italian railway stations and their positive impact on cities.
In the exclusive interview with Luca Nardoni of Coding, we have discovered how this historic company is revolutionizing Italian railway stations, turning them into modern and green spaces. Thanks to targeted investments and a forward-thinking vision, Coding is contributing to changing the face of Italian railway stations, making them not only transit hubs but also vibrant community centers. Passion and a focus on greenery emerge as key elements in this transformation, creating cutting-edge railway stations where beauty and functionality merge for the benefit of all travelers.
