In a world where sustainability and architecture come together to create innovative and environmentally friendly spaces, we had the honor of interviewing Daniele Conticchio, the man behind Nou Group, an engineering and architecture company involved in both public and private projects. In this interview, Daniele guides us through his vision of sustainable design, sharing the project of renovating the company headquarters and highlighting the importance of educating clients and users to promote responsible behaviors.
Certainly. Nou Group is an engineering and architecture company committed to addressing the challenges of architecture and engineering in a sustainable manner. We work on both public and private contract projects and are deeply involved in research and development of alternative energies.
Our focus is primarily on commercial and industrial projects, but we have also undertaken selected residential projects.
The renovation of our company headquarters is an ambitious project involving an industrial complex in Viterbo. This complex was originally characterized by prefab architecture and a low aesthetic appeal. We introduced a sustainable approach, focusing on resource recovery, water treatment, and the use of greenery. We created green spaces within the complex, including a patio that reduces lighting costs and provides a more pleasant working environment.
Right from the project definition phase, we try to educate our clients about sustainability and the benefits of responsible behaviors. However, sometimes the challenge lies in getting the message across beyond a certain point. Our goal is to educate and change mindsets.
Greenery is fundamental, and we consider it from the design phase onward. We aim to create green spaces that require minimal maintenance and use modern technologies to monitor and manage the building efficiently from an energy perspective. This allows us to combine technological advancement with human well-being.
The interview with Daniele Conticchio of Nou Group has shown us the crucial role of sustainability in architectural and engineering design. The project to renovate the company headquarters in Viterbo represents a tangible example of how architecture can be transformed into sustainable art. His vision of conscious and responsible evolution in design is a hopeful sign for the future of sustainable design.
