The Milan-based design studio PRINCIPIOATTIVO Architecture Group (http://www.principioattivo.eu/) has adopted an original solution to improve the acoustic comfort inside a shopping center and at the same time bring the benefits of living in contact with nature indoors: a sound-absorbing ceiling made with the MOSSwall® system.
The project aimed to recreate a ceiling lake of water lilies, using about 800 circles of 3 different diameters covered with MOSSwall® in mint and wasabi colors. A challenging realization, which required checks for the product's hold on the ceiling and for the creation of custom-made panels, as well as the engineering of the fastening system, consisting of tubes that support one by one all the circles placed in operation.
The visual impact is unique and thanks to the certified sound-absorbing characteristics we have created a unique food court.
